President Obama laid down his 23 executive orders. Not only are they toothless, they are pointless. Not one of his edicts would prevent the tragedies of Sandy Hook, Aurora or even down in Taft.
This is not about gun safety. It's about getting everyone they can to rat on you. Doctors, teachers, the tax man...sooner or later, they'll all report to the feds on what you have and what you don't have.

State senator Michael Rubio (D-Bakersfield) joined us to talk about a letter he wrote last year to Senators Feinstein and Boxer about the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and Lance Armstrong. He believes in the mission of USADA but wants to ensure due process. Rubio also talked about his disfavor of motorcycle helmet laws and gun laws. He is hesitant about allowing high-capacity magazines. He believes it should remain against the law. What's the point of more gun control laws when the bad guys will find the guns and illegal ammo anyway? Callers felt he kind of danced around the issue of gun control I pressed him about. |

I asked listeners whether they had any unregistered guns. Some admitted they had, and they have no plans to give it up. I don't blame them. I just moved back to Fresno from Nevada. I had to leave guns there because they are not legal here.
