California is doing well. That's what Governor Jerry Brown says. (click here to watch)Our economy is doing well. He has a plan for water, education, high speed rail and more. Of course, nothing groundbreaking was said. Mainly backslapping for his fellow Democrats in the state legislature. I'm appalled he is sitting as governor. He failed the first time around. These plans, especially high speed rail, are going to cost the state money we don't have. |

Assemblyman Jim Patterson (R-Fresno) joined the show to react to the State of the State [Listen HERE]. He also noted that Brown sounded like a Republican. About the Democratic super majority, Patterson says they better use their power wisely or bear the complete blame. |
Gov. Brown also touched on high speed rail. One local lawmaker knows a lot about that. It's U.S. congressman Jeff Denham (R-Modesto/Fresno). He is the head of the rail subcommittee in Washington. He spoke about high speed rail, saying we would be better off with private investment. Listen HERE.
