We are one day removed from the atrocity in Boston. Any loss of life is terrible, but in the grand sense of things, three deaths out of 27,000 runners is a failure for the terrorist.
Two eyewitnesses joined the show. Sean Doherty is a DJ in Tucson, who was watching at the finish line in Boston. He says the mood in Boston is a bottled anger, waiting to lash out on whoever is responsible. Thus, he says, authorities need to be sure they are right whenever they make their arrests.
Doherty also noted all the community coming together to help in the time of need.
Another witness, Sally Lovejoy from Visalia called in. She just got back from Boston this afternoon. She running and was at mile 26 when the bombs exploded. She didn't quite realize the impact of the bombs until she saw all the emergency vehicles emerge. It was upsetting to see what happened to innocent people, as the race took a back seat.
She said the sound and feel of the explosion made her think hundreds were killed.
Leave it to the media blaming the right wing, even if is just using the term "right wing." Chris Matthews of MSNBC did so...
It continued with CNN's Peter Bergen, who uses the "right wing" term as well...
Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nevada) may have let his true feelings about guns on the senate floor:
If someone is trying to take your freedom away from you, know they are the enemy. Taking your guns is taking your freedom.
