Doghouse Grill has some of the best tri tip in town. It's always busy, because it's a pretty good place to eat. It also has a tradition to open early the morning of Fresno State graduation to accommodate all the students and their families who want to eat (and drink) early.
But, some people got too rowdy at last year's graduation. Dean Paul Oliaro says two or three can ruin it for the rest of the bunch at the graduation ceremony across the street at the Save Mart Center. So, Oliaro sent a letter to the Doghouse Grill to remain closed that morning.
The Doghouse Grill says they will oblige. Talk about succumbing to pressure! Many of our callers were disgusted by what Fresno State is doing. They said students who want to get drunk will drink elsewhere.
Can't these students act like an adult, just for a few hours?
Here's a copy of the letter Oliaro sent the Doghouse grill.
Sheriff Margaret Mims and Barry Bauer of Herb Bauer Sporting Goods joined the show live in studio. We broached a range of topics from the ammo shortage, a slew of gun bills in Sacramento to the Sheriff's apporach to approving CCW.
We also talked about a new law that would fund a program to remove guns from "prohibited" people.
Does this mean I'm deputized?
