Today we had Assembly member Connie Conway join us in studio to talk about a number of topics. Mainly we talked about the job that Governor Jerry Brown is doing in Sacramento. Ms. Conway and I both agree that this upcoming election is very significant in not only the future of this state, but our country. We talked about the fact that there are people who want to destroy our 2nd Amendment. Assembly member Conway was a pleasure to speak with and I look forward to having her back in studio.

Today I also talked about the issue of the IRS. If this isn't reason enough for us to have a flat tax or a fair tax as I call it, I'm not sure what is. It is the best way for all of us to fairly pay what we owe and continue on, without the threat of the IRS coming down on us.

I've said this numerous times but it's becoming more and more important for me to say this again. Before anything I am an American! In my book the well being of this country that I love comes before any politician, and election, and any issue. And I think there are many who have lost sight of that. Perfect example is a Marine in New Hampshire was told he could not wear his dress blues to his graduation. This is everything that is wrong right now. Let's get back to being American.....

Former County Supervisor Doug Vagim was back in studio to talk about the mess that has become Measure G. Today a brief stop was put on counting votes when "observers have procedure concerns." The Yes on G people are trying to put a halt to this because they are in big trouble. There are 8,000 votes left to be counting and we should have a new update by tomorrow afternoon. My take on this is, we have other problems to focus on rather than this issue.

The big story today is that of the NSA taking millions of phone records from Verizon wireless. How much more will we have to endure before we realize what's going on here. Have you guys heard about the new NSA data facility in Utah? This is becoming the biggest spy center all hiding behind the Patriot Act. Aren't we allowed some privacy? How much of our liberties are we willing to give up? We now have to be careful of what we say on the phone and what we put on the Internet. I would rather the government just leave me alone! We have to stand our ground. We want privacy but how much of that do we give up? We need to take our rights back, before they are taken from us.
