I had lots to get done last week in preparation for Z100's Jingle Ball, which was made even more hectic since I've been sick. It's funny because my male co-workers don't fuss over what they'll wear to the show, but my fellow female co-workers & I obsess over it for weeks...What are we gonna wear, how are we gonna have our hair done? It's altogether too involved, really. Lol. That said, I hadn't gotten a manicure in over a month since the nail salon I normally go to was flooded out by Hurricane Sandy & still hasn't reopened. So getting a mani before the show was a must. This was me before my manicure.
Here I am after my manicure. The artist Miss Pop Nails, who does a lot of work with the fashion industry, did my manicure & nail art. My pinky nail is covered in Swarovski crystals. The next 3 have the "zipper" theme with one zipped nail & 2 unzipped nails. She said she loved the natural color of my fingernails, so the natural color you see is my actual natural nail color...not a natural looking nail polish. She covered them in a clear base coat, then she put the black & silver art work over it.

We decided to pay tribute to Z100 on my thumbs :-)

And here are my hands the day of the show, all adorned in jewels & gloves. I know, totally 80s!

My makeup artist William came over to do my makeup.
And here's a shot of my hair for the show.
And here, I'm finally ready for the event. Decided to go simple & comfortable.
Before heading into The Garden, I said a quick hello to my radio friend Paul Hayes. He was in NYC from Montreal & got a chance to see the show.
And look who else I ran into...My fellow Houstonian DJ Riddler! Riddler travels all over the world deejaying. I asked him the most exciting place he's been this year during his travels & he said Australia!
I've been on air at Z100 for 11 years now & I believe I have programs from each Z100 Jingle Ball concert I've been a part of. Here's this year's program with all of the the Z100 ZJs: Elvis Duran & The Z100 Morning Show, Ryan Seacrest, JJ, Mo Bounce, Trey Morgan & me!
Normally before the show, I'll hang out in the red carpet/artist gift lounge area to meet up with my co-workers & to see which celebs stop by.
While I walked the red carpet, I snapped a pic of the photogs who were snapping pics of me.
Kelly Ripa & I were walking the red carpet at the same time, so I asked her to pose with me for an iPhone pic. That's the pic that the photogs snapped of Kelly & me posing.
And here's the pic I snapped with my iPhone of me & Kelly.

I also ran into Carson Kressely...
Christy Turlington...
And Neyo!
In the artist gift lounge, JJ interviewed the show's performers, including Taylor Swift...
Ed Sheeran...
and B.O.B.!

I even snapped some pics of Ed & B.O.B. catching up with each other...
Then Ed posed for a pic with me!

By this time, I realized that the show was starting in about 2 minutes, so I rushed from backstage into the audience so that I wouldn't miss the Z100 Jingle Ball intro video & One Direction's performance opening the show. Here are a couple of 1D stage pics...
My friend Michele brought her daughters to the concert, so I rushed over to their section to say hi to them before I got too busy. I almost never get to see all of my friends at the concerts because I'm always so busy running around doing work stuff. And I NEVER EVER bring a date to the show because I wouldn't be able to spend time with him.
Me & Michele.
Then it was time to get back to work. While the main Z100 Jingle Ball show was happening at Madison Square Garden, we also had a Z100 Jingle Ball Viewing Party going on at the same time. The viewing party allowed those who didn't get tickets to the main show to watch the show from the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Listeners at the viewing party were also treated to prizes & special performances.
My co-worker Trey hosted the viewing party & we all joined him at various times during the show.
Here I am backstage with Trey, actress/singer Bridgit Mendler & that's Garrett from Elvis Duran's show photo bombing us, lol.
After I got off stage at the viewing party, I sat in the audience to check out Jason Mraz & Ed Sheeran's killer performance of "Empire State Of Mind" together.
Then it was time for me to rush back to Madison Square Garden to join my co-workers Danielle Monaro, Skeery Jones & TJ onstage to introduce Ed Sheeran's Z100 Jingle Ball performance. Here I am just moments before we went onstage. You can see the massive crowd at The Garden in the background.

Our listener Seamus snapped this pic of us onstage from the audience.
After I finished talking on the mic, I took out my iPhone & snapped this pic of the audience.
Before I left backstage, I snapped this pic of my co-worker Dave Foxx. It's always super exciting to hear him introduce your name as you walk out onstage at Madison Square Garden. This is where he sits to make his stage announcements.
And with that, my work was done. I didn't have to do onstage anymore, so I was able to sit down & enjoy the show! After he performed his hit "The A Team", Ed Sheeran asked the audience to take out our cell phones & wave them in the air. I captured the moment with my iPhone.
While backstage, you pass all the artist dressing rooms. Here's the sign in front of The Wanted's dressing room.

From the audience, I could see what was going on behind the stage & captured of a couple of pictures of the guys from The Wanted as they waited for their performance...
I snapped that pic of Max from The Wanted onstage at Z100's Jingle Ball. And although he & Lindsay Lohan claim they aren't dating, she was spotted hugging him backstage AND watching him perform from the audience...
The pic is a bit blurry, but the 2 in the middle hugging each other backstage are Lindsay & Max. You can go to Z100.com, keyword: Jingle Ball to see the actual video of the hug.
And I snapped this pic with my iPhone of Lindsay in the audience during Max's performance.
After I snapped the Lindsay Lohan pic, my cell phone battery died. I didn't get to snap any pics of Justin Bieber. By the time the show was over, my female co-workers & I all complained about our feet KILLING us! Mine's were killing me so much that I started not to go to the after party. But I ended up going for a little bit.
I didn't really do a lot of partying at the after party. It was late & everything was starting to set in...the fact that I had just gotten off air at 5 that morning, had only slept a few hours before getting ready for Z100's Jingle Ball & was still very sick. So I socialized a little, had a couple of cocktails & just sat and people watched before heading home.
Btw, I didn't know we had Z100 pillows & Z100 napkins! Lol, fancy ;-)
